East Dream is now accepting new members!
Join our expanding dance troupe to learn beautifully choreographed Chinese dances, deeply entrenched in China’s long history. This non-profit organization has been serving the Corvallis and Greater Oregon community for more than ten years by sharing Chinese culture through music and dance. We meet once a week to practice choreography and we perform several times a year at various community events throughout Oregon. We have had our own dance showcases to celebrate Chinese New Year and we also do fund-raising by displaying the diverse dances we have learned and mastered through the years.
Everybody is more than welcome to check out one of our weekly classes and see what we’re all about. If you enjoy us, we would love to have you join as a member. For FAQs, please see below.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Where does East Dream perform?
East Dream Dance has performed at many community events and festivals throughout the Pacific Northwest, including Portland Chinese Festival, OSU’s Cool Shoes concert, LBCC’s Inspirations Dance Club Concert, Regional School of Ballet’s Dance Gallery, and more. We also organize our own dance showcase for Chinese New Year.
Why are we expanding membership now?
East Dream Dance was founded more than ten years ago and it has built up a considerable reputation as one of the most featured groups in our local community. Now we would like to expand our performer base and make East Dream Dance bigger and stronger!
Why are there membership dues?
East Dream is a 100% non-profit organization funded entirely through donations. Membership dues help us cover necessary costs including the prices of costumes and props as well as weekly rental fees for the dance studio.
Do I have to be Chinese to join the group?
Absolutely not! Membership is open to the public ages 16 and up and we are delighted to have people from all backgrounds join us in celebrating Chinese culture through dance.
What if I want to learn Chinese dance, but I’m not comfortable with performing?
That is absolutely fine. We have a few non-performing members who join us at classes but choose not to perform at events. Everyone can choose which events they would like to perform at or choose not to perform at all.
